The PB (Pacific Beach) Reality Show Has Plenty Of Drama As Sexy Girls Compete For "The Girls Of PB" Calendar.
San Diego, CA, July 19, 2010 -- As reality shows come and go, one would think that everything on the planet has been a theme. No wait!...How about gorgeous girls fighting for the title to show off their bodies in a calendar based in a San Diego beach community called Pacific Beach? Well it's part of a new show debuting this September called the PB Reality Show ( http://www.pbreality.com ). "It's just one aspect of the show" says Jim Lawlor, the producer, who is also known locally as the "PB Millionaire". ( http://www.pbreality.com ) But he says it is important because that's what will draw in a lot of the viewers.
A $1000 prize will be awarded in a bikini contest to be held August 12th at the Typhoon Saloon in PB as a way to promote the show and bring in new talent. The winner will walk away with the cash and also appear in the calendar. "It's quite likely that others will be chosen from the contestants", Lawlor says as "it will portray the most beautiful that San Diego has to offer".
The show is also about Lawlor's lifestyle and his three beautiful assistants he calls "Angels" who will help him judge the contest. A self-made millionaire, he got the nick-name "PB Millionaire" ( http://www.pbreality.com ) from his camera crew which was meant to tease him but the name stuck. His parties are described locally as "legendary" which take place at his home a.k.a. the "PB Castle" which has a view over looking Pacific Beach and are also a theme of the show. Another aspect of the show is his charity work especially that of helping the San Diego homeless.
The combination of the calendar, his millionaire lifestyle, and his giving back to the community "makes for good entertainment", he says, "it will be unlike any other reality show". Even though show has not yet aired it is drawing a lot of attention nationally as many have check the website ( http://www.pbreality.com ) for the newest trailer and expressed interest in the show.
Lawlor and his assistants are local celebrities as they are recognized at coffee shops, grocery stores and everywhere they go around PB - which is pretty remarkable considering the show has not yet aired.
The bikini contest will take place from 7:00-10:00PM at Typhoon's on Garnet Avenue in PB and will be filmed as part of one of the first episodes of the show. Two limo buses will take the contestants and staff to and from the event to assure their safety.
